The New Year didn't quite start on a great note for veteran Nigerian singer, Stella Monye whose son is sick and dying.

Stella Monye's 27-year old son, Ibrahim is battling Kidney failure and acording to his mum who spoke exclusivey to LIB, 'we've been at it for a while, but on the 2st of this year it got really worse and he now needs to do a corrective surgery in the United States which costs 35 Million naira'.

She went on to say, 'he does dialysis three times a week and its really expensive'. We asked if she's getting any fininacial support from anyone yet and she said, 'yes, its coming little by little but its nowhere near what we need and its really sad'.
