Four Smartphone Apps For Newbie And Expert Programmers

Smartphones have a longer battery life compared to laptops. And there are lots of mobile applications that can make your programming work easier, help you improve efficiency and save the time that you would have lost while waiting for electricity to be restored.

These apps will also be useful for newbies who are just starting their career in programming. They range from text editor to Integrated Development Environment (IDE), coding keyboard and learning apps.

Here, we have listed some of these apps:

1. AIDE:

Android IDE (AIDE) was developed by appfour. It is used to develop any type of application for Android OS devices (smartphones, wears, autos).

There are both freemium and premium versions of the app.

With freemium version, you can develop applications and have interactive lessons for step-by-step learning of Android application development and java.

The premium version is very flexible, you can debug your code, unlock all lessons within the app and its ad-free.

2. SoloLearn:

With SoloLearn app, you can learn different programming languages. The app has HTML, CSS, PHP, Java, C++, C#, Ruby, jQuery, SQL, Swift and Python programming language lessons available.

SoloLearn is free to use. There is no-in app purchases and no ads. The most interesting thing about this app is that you will be issued a certificate on completion of any programming course you enroll for.

3. CodeBoard Keyboard for coding:

Writing codes on smartphones would not have been easier for programmers using the default keyboard that comes pre-installed with smartphones.

Using CodeBoard keyboard, writing code becomes easier because all the special characters that a developer would need are readily available on-screen.

Special characters such as (arrow keys, cut, copy, paste, select all, undo, redo, tab, and all the braces: ‘{‘, ‘[‘, ‘<‘, ‘(‘, ‘;’, ‘/’, ‘\’, ‘!’, ‘|’, ‘&’, ‘$’, etc. This app is also free and no in-app purchases.

4. Programming Hub:

Programming Hub is offered by Nexino Labs Pvt Lt. The app is loaded with a huge database of sample codes from different programming languages such as Java, PHP, C++, C# and so on.

It is bundled with course materials for each programming language and has both offline compilers to compile languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript, while others such as C#, Java, PHP, among some others, require internet access for sample codes to run.

There is a freemium and premium version of this app as well.
