The Yobe state police commissioner Sanusi Rufai told the AFP news agency that armed men entered the doctors' flat in the town of Potiskum either late night or early morning and slit their throats.
They say a North Korean doctor was beheaded while two others - either North Koreans or Chinese had their throats slit.
The doctors worked at the General Hospital in Potiskum and they routinely travelled through the town without security guards. How sad!
